Specialized Mini-Courses
Based on IPC's J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 specifications. Mini-Courses are 8-12hr in length and on completion of any course each student will recieve a NTS Certificate of Completion.
Basic PWA Thru-Hole Soldering
Includes basic solder IPC Specifications, component ID, polarity, component prep, solder theory and hands on application.
Wire Prep, Terminals, Harnessing
Includes of basic solder IPC Specifications: Turret Terminals, Bifurcated Terminals, Pierced Terminals, Cup Terminals, Wire splicing methods, Cable lacing, hands on application.
Basic PWA SMT Soldering
Includes basic IPC SMT Chip & Flatpacks Specifications, component ID, polarity, component prep, solder theory and hands on application.
Advanced SMT Soldering
Includes basic solder IPC, SMT, LLC, J-lead, & QFP's. Specifications, component ID, polarity, component prep, solder theory and hands on application.
Basic PWA Thru-Hole Rework
Includes non-conformance defect recognition, desoldering with solder wick, and/or vacuum pulse method, component removal with vacuum solder extraction tool (Customized to your requirements).
Basic SMT Rework
Includes non-conformance defect recognition.
* CHIP removal methods: solder wick, bifurcated tip, &
hot tweezer tip.
* SOIC, QFP, & PLCC removal methods: solder wrap,
flux application, with hot tweezer or removal tip.

Basic PWA Repair
Includes: Repair of PWB delamination, lifted or missing pads, base material damage, conductor repair, & plated hole repair etc..
